The Wayland Youth Sports organization is pleased to offer recreational flag football for many ages of our Wayland community youth and surrounding communities. The flag football program is geared for both giving the players exposure to the sport of football as well as providing continuous development for players looking to build on their skills in a safe and secure environment.

Our flag football program is part of the NFL Play 60 football program and is offered to various ages of players that will allow them to play K-4th Grade.

This season will begin after Labor Day.  Practices will begin the middle of August.  Sign up deadline is July 6th.  We play on Saturday mornings throughout our league.  Kindergarten players will always play in Wayland but we visit several of our locations with other community partners like Middleville TK, Grand Rapids Christian, Wyoming and others for the older levels.

Practices for our K teams is one night a week.  Practices for all other levels are 2 nights a week (coaches discretion).  We don't practice on Fridays to give all kids an opportunity to cheer on the Varsity squad.

Camp dates:

3rd / 4th Grades June 10th and 11th

K - 2nd Grades June 12th

5th-8th Grades July 29th and 30th

We are always in need of volunteers to give of their time to give these kids this tremendous opportunity.  Want to be a leader?...Make a difference?...Coach!

Coaches are an essential part of the youth program.  They serve as a bridge between youth and sub-varsity levels.  If you can, help us grow our community!  We have other areas to volunteer as well such as concessions and our Homecoming parade planning.  When kids are engaged in programs such as this, we believe parents have a place as well.  As they grow, involvement is necessary so start now!
